This article describes the various fast food chains in USA. The most popular fast food chains in US are - McDonalds, KFC, Burger King, Subway and Wendy's.

McDonalds: McDonalds is the world's largest fast food chain in the world. It was founded in 1940 by two brothers by Dick and Mac McDonald. The concept of well known fast-food restaurant was first introduced by these brothers .The worldwide expansion of McDonald can be attributed to Ray Kroc who later bought the equity of Donald brothers. McDonald restaurants are basically known for its signature Burger - The Big Mac, but they serve chicken products, French fries, soft drinks, milkshakes, and desserts as well.

KFC: KFC also known as Kentucky Fried Chicken was founded by Colonel Harland Sanders in 1952.Its speciality lies in fried chicken but the restaurant also offers roasted chicken products, finger foods, sandwiches, sides and desserts.

Burger King: headquartered at, Florida, United States, Burger King or BK, is a international chain of hamburger fast food restaurants .Its first restaurant was opened in 1954 by James McLamore and David Edgerton .Spread across 71 countries, it has about 37,000 employees serving about 11.4 million customer worldwide. Its signature product is sandwich named as Whooper. Apart from this, restaurant offers several variations of fish, breakfast, salads, chicken, and fish.

Subway: Founded by Fred De Luca and Peter Buck the restaurant chain is famous for its Hoagies and salads. Spread over 87 counties Subway has over 30,643 outlets. Because of its image as a health - conscious restaurant chain, Subway has become world's fastest growing franchise.

Wendy's: Wendy's is global chain of fast food restaurants founded by John T. Schuessler and Dave Thomas in 1969.It mainly offers hamburgers, French fries, chicken sandwiches, and beverages.
