3 cups all-purpose or bread flour (if you want it crispier)
1 1/2 teaspoon salt (according to taste)
21/4 tablespoon yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoon Olive Oil
Preparation:
1. In a bowl, pour warm water add yeast and stir it till yeast gets dissolved completely. Let it stand for 10 minutes (or till mixture become foamy)
2. Mix in the flour, olive oil, salt, sugar and knead till the dough becomes soft and elastic.
3. Take a bowl coated with oil. Coat the dough with oil and put it in the bowl. Cover the dough with a plastic film or wet cloth and leave it in a warm place for 60-75 minutes to rise. When it becomes about twice its original size you know dough is done.
4. Cut the dough into half and punch it a little so that the air inside it comes out.
5. Take one ball of dough at a time and flatten it on a lightly floured surface till it comes of around 1/2 inch thickness.
6. Leave it aside for 5 - 10 minutes before adding on the toppings.
For Pizza sauce:
Ingredients:
2 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 can (8 Ounce) of tomato puree
2 clove garlic, mashed and minced
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon oregano
1 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce
1 teaspoon basil
1/2 cup chopped onion
Preparation:
1. Take a pan and heat oil. Saute onion till they turn soft.
2. Add rest of the ingredients. Keep it for about 15-20 minutes.
Pizza Preparation:
1. Spread evenly the prepared sauce over the dough
2. Leave little area around the circumference of dough untouched for a crispier puffed up edge of the pizza
3. Add cheese and toppings of your choice over the layer of sauce. Avoid putting cheese around the edges.
4. Preheat the oven at 250 degree for 10 minutes
5. Bake pizza for about 10-15 minutes or till the cheese becomes golden and crust turns brown.
